Social Justice & Antiracism Resources
We as a community--with families and the school in partnership--remain committed to educate, listen, and engage actively in social justice and anti-racism work. As educators, it is our responsibility to teach, practice, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is our responsibility to educate every Mark Day student, in developmentally appropriate ways, about both what makes our nation great and the systemic inequities that exist, and that must be acknowledged and rooted out.
Nurturing in our children the habits of mind and personhood to be the best citizens they can be means that they are equipped to lead in seeing and addressing inequity where it exists, and working toward racial equity and social justice.
We understand that families' and individuals' experience and comfort level with addressing these topics varies. Please review the recommended resources before sharing them with your children.
