Social Justice Resources For Faculty & Staff

Mark Day School stands in solidarity with Black communities to actively recognize, condemn, and protest the racial inequity in our country. We as a community-- remains committed to  and educate, listen, and engage actively in anti-racism work.

As educators, it is our responsibility to teach, practice, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is our responsibility to educate every Mark Day student, in developmentally appropriate ways, about both what makes our nation great and the systemic inequities that exist, and that must be acknowledged and rooted out.

Nurturing in our children the habits of mind and personhood to be the best citizens they can be means that they are equipped to lead in seeing and addressing inequity where it exists, and to dismantle systems of oppression and white supremacy culture.
