How to Apply

Families are encouraged to visit Mark Day School prior to submitting an application. If you decide to apply to Mark Day School, please see the application checklist and materials for kindergarten and 1st grade or for grades 2-8. Kindergarten & 1st Grade

1. Submit an application by January 15, 2021. Please complete your application online here.

2. Give the recommendation form to your child's current teacher. The form should be emailed or mailed directly from the teacher to Mark Day School.

3. Applicants to 1st grade should complete and sign the Transcript Release Form and give it to the registrar at your child's current school.

4. If applicable, apply to pay tuition below the top of the index by January 15, 2021. To learn more, click here.

5. Schedule your child's virtual screening in the admission portal.

6. Contact Katie Kelso, Director of Admission, at 415.472.8007 to schedule a parent meeting.

Notification of admission decisions will be emailed on March 18, 2021 at noon. Signed enrollment contracts from families are due back March 25, 2021 at 10:00am.

Grades 2-8

1. Submit an application by January 15, 2021. Please complete your application online here.

2. Give the recommendation form to two teachers, including your child's current homeroom teacher. The other may be completed by last year's homeroom teacher. Forms should be emailed or mailed directly from the teachers to Mark Day School.

3. Complete and sign the Transcript Release Form and give it to the registrar at your child's current school.

4. If applicable, apply to pay tuition below the top of the index by January 15, 2021. To learn more, click here.

5. Grades 5-8: ISEE testing will not be required for the 2021-2022 admission cycle. Instead, we will schedule 30 minute writing assessments in small groups via Zoom. These assessments will begin in late January. We will provide information on how to sign up closer to that time. 

6. Each applicant will need to have a virtual assessment with Director of Admission, Katie Kelso, and the Division Head of the grade you are applying for. We really want to get to know every applicant, and want them to get to know us too! We look forward to spending this time with your child.
