HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES AT HOME

While we shelter in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, it's important to keep students busy and learning, and parents informed. Below are a variety of resources for kids, from live story time to at-home tinkering projects.  

CRAFTY SCIENCE

Cloud Dough, Ice Cream, and Bouncing Bubbles are all on the menu as we explore the wild and wacky world of kitchen science. You'll be led through each project with tips for set up, containing the mess, and a special science context to each experiment, helping us understand the why behind the wow! Recommended for grades K-3.

JUGGLING 101

Drop everything and learn to juggle. Actually… learn to not drop everything while mastering the basics of juggling! Once you learn the basics, you can try some of the tricks that will be introduced. All you need are some tennis balls, bean-bags, or even socks to get started! Recommended for grades 3-8.

What can you create from nature? These ideas will spark backyard exploration. Get your hands dirty and see what you can create! Recommended for grades 3-6.

What does it take to adventure smart in the outdoors? Join Ms. Zimmerman and get a head-start on future outdoor-ed adventures! You’re guaranteed to sleep warmer, eat better, and generally enjoy yourself more in the great outdoors after this mini-course. Recommended for grades 5-6.
