Families

In 2011, the Lower School faculty designed and built a program of families across the students in K-3. Students from each grade are assigned to a particular family with a lower division teacher, support teacher, or Head of Lower School. This programs is in support of the SEL program, and has benefits that are vital to the health of the school.

Each named after an animal, these families meet regularly to discuss issues and participate in activities that foster a close community. Students stay with the same family through Lower School. Family reunions are planned to bring back students who have moved on to the Upper School.
