By design and as at most independent schools, Mark Day School's tuition does not fully fund the cost of a Mark Day School education and The Mark Day Fund helps to make up this difference. The Fund, which touches all corners of school life, kicks off each year in October, and more than 500 parents and guardians, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, faculty/staff, and friends all play a part in supporting the school. All school families are asked to contribute, and every gift makes a difference because it demonstrates a commitment to meeting the school’s needs.
The Mark Day Fund supports programs such as:
- Cross-Disciplinary Literacies
- Technology
- Equipment for science, music, art, P.E., and more
- Hosting outside speakers
- Faculty professional development
- And more!
The fund is being chaired this year by Megan Mariani, Patrick Shannon, and Eric Palm. The goals are $1,000,000+ and 100 percent current family participation by November 30. The annual fund closes each school year on May 31.
